The Murex

The Murex is a receptacle of looser essays and columns that are published when I want to, how I want to. The main focus of The Murex is politics, but I’ll be writing about a variety of other topics as well, including music, literature, film, Jewishness, and more.

These essays are more vulgar than what you’d see from me in The Gauntlet or elsewhere due to the lack of proper editorial constraints. Not to eschew the role of editors in both fact-checking and in making sure that writing is quality, of course.

The Murex’s mandate is me trying to build a portfolio of writing. As with all skills, the best way to improve as a writer is to write a lot. If anyone reads what I write, that’s excellent. If not, that’s fine too. The Murex is a solipsistic, self-important exercise, ultimately.

I believe writing, or at least my writing, should be as accessible as possible. Hence, every post is available for free and paid subscriptions are disabled.
